A message from Dr. Kim Oppenherimer
Symptoms, such as anxiety and depression, occur when there is not a good fit between people and their environment, such as in a relationship or a job. Thus, my orientation to therapy is a blending of family systems and cognitive – behavioral theories. I treat individual adults, adolescents, couples and families.
My specialty areas include anxiety, depression, relationship issues, (including mother-daughter), divorce adjustment, blended families and resist/refuse dynamics.
The stress associated with separation, divorce, alienation, and newly blended families may strain everyone’s psychological health.
